We're hosting an intimate morning mixer and production event in Los Angeles to commemorate this significant milestone!
Join us on April 21st at 9 AM PST at Who Goes There, a vibrant community space in Sherman Oaks, as we celebrate our 7th anniversary. During this special morning, we'll bring together filmmakers eager to share their voices on screen, connect over brunch, and celebrate our journey.
Enjoy a spread of fruit, bagels, muffins, sweets, coffee, and orange juice as you mingle with fellow filmmakers. Capture your essence with a memorable portrait inspired by The Light Leaks' journey, digitally edited by Kim Hoyos. Plus, participate in an engaging card game designed to foster connections. This morning mixer and production is your chance to share your struggles, triumphs, and creative visions.

$40 includes a breakfast spread, a digital portrait, our new guide, "Brand Blueprint: Crafting Your Identity and Strategy, and activities during the event
Breakfast and Intentional Connection Game and Portraits will happen at the same time upon arrival, then we’ll call quiet on set and begin shooting the honest testimonials of our filmmaker community.
Over the last 7 years, we’ve hosted over 40 events, published interviews with Emmy winners and Sundance fellows, and we’ve been featured in the press and by some cool brands - but what’s been most important is remaining a grassroots source by filmmakers for filmmakers. This celebration is also a way to continue growing our small businesses and prepare for an even stronger 2024.

Yes, street parking is available along Ventura, Woodman, and the accompanying side streets.
Is this an all ages event?
All guests must be 18+
Who can attend this event?
This event is open to all women and filmmakers of underrepresented genders who are passionate about storytelling, The Light Leaks' mission, and genuinely connecting with others. The Light Leaks is a community for women and nonbinary and gender-nonconforming filmmakers.
Do I need on screen experience?
No experience needed on camera just YOUR experiences are important.
What should I bring?
Just bring yourself and we'll provide everything else, including a delicious breakfast spread, decoration, portrait sessions, engaging activities, and the production shoot!
