Glow Up: a Panel and Networking Event on How to Build Your Creative Future

Join the Light Leaks for an empowering night of networking, conversation, and building your creative "glow up". What's a glow up? Well, we're glad you asked. It could be changing up your job, redoing your resume, finally pitching that creative idea, or working to ace all your classes.

A glow up is the process of shifting your life to reflect who you are and want to become.

We're aiming to make networking easy, approachable, and inclusive for all as we listen to the words of inspiring female creators and gain insight into their career growth via a panel and networking power hour. Our panelists include an Emmy award-winning journalist, a Tribeca Film Festival recognized director, a digital producer with over 12 million online views (on a single vid), and not to brag but the illustrator behind some of your fav Instagram designs. We're bringing the ladies making waves at NBC, Nickelodeon, This is Insider, and the Wall Street Journal to you to dissect the ways they were able to enhance their lives and creative careers.

Additionally, there will also be a free raffle for those in attendance to have a shot at winning products from Ban.do, us (the Light Leaks), and other cool empowering companies. Munch on some treats from Flour Power, listen to inspiring people speak, AND have a chance at awesome products? You can't miss out on this event.

no tickets at door.

FAQs

Who is this event for? Sounds cool, can I go?
This event is for you if you are a creative person looking to ~grow~. That's the only requirement. All ages and identities are welcome. Unapologetically passionate creators to the front please!

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
L will not be working this weekend, so it's going to be the Q54 or Q59 bus which run much more reliably than the shuttle. If you are on the G train, Lightbulb is a 15 minute walk from the Metropolitan G train (or transfer to Q54/59). Lightbulb's office is the set of grey stone stairs directly west of the Loading Dock gate with our lightbulb logo. Buzz 133# to be let in!

What can I bring into the event?
Cash if you'd like to have a drink (water, beer, wine) courtesy of our friends at Lightbulb Grip and Electric Co. Maybe a notebook to take notes, but otherwise just bring yourself and a smile!

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
kim@theLightLeaks.com

**tickets are non-refundable, if you would like to sponsor a ticket for someone to attend or if you would like to transfer your ticket to a friend, let us know ASAP at kim@thelightleaks.com**
